We're challenging you!!

We’ve written some words, almost like a ‘blueprint’ for a song. We want to see what you can do with it! Note, these are not ‘lyrics’ but should be used as a guide and to somewhat narrate the sound. The words:

I woke to the sound of a drum kit at play
The snare and Hi Hat had something to say
When the Kick drum awoke you could hear the Toms jumping
Soon the Bass guitar like a jealous brother started thumping
They argued who was there first and who should play more
When they heard the guitar come through the door
It seemed to holler as if to say
Hold on boys, let me in this melee
He laid down some licks, whining and moaning in such a sweet way
Then gently turned and eased out of the way
I bent my ear so I could hear some more
When a harmonica wandered through the door
He was just showing off and playing so hard
Til he heard the Saxophone coming across the yard
Squawking and bragging and making his way
You could see that by now they had all had their say
And when all had gone quiet all you could hear
Was the piano in the background, shedding a tear

Does it have to be a video?

No, not at all. For us, it’s all about the music. You do have to upload the submission to YouTube, so a video of some sort will be used, but doesn’t have to be produced. Will a produced video disqualify you or hurt you? Of course not. Go off! Showcase your skills!

Awesome! How do I submit my video!?!

All submissions should be made to YouTube by the noted deadline of May 1st, 2025. To be eligible the video submissions need to have the hashtags #puffpeace and #challenge in the video title and description. There is no song length (duration/runtime) requirement but is expected to be that of an average song. Also, We’d like to keep it family friendly as much as possible.
