Why DO you like music, anyway?

Simple enough question.... Right?

Well, maybe it’s because it reminds you of a time in your life long ago or the lyrics really relate to you. Maybe it makes you want to laugh or cry or maybe call an old friend or think of one that’s passed. Is it the solid beat that pulls you in or the guitar solo that makes your fingers want to play the air-guitar ? Maybe it’s the soothing feeling of a melodic voice or the harmonization of voices that make you want to sing along or maybe that hard Rock lyric that just makes you want to shout “YEEAAH”!! Why is it that one may like a Violin concerto or an Operatic aria, while another prefers the Motown sound yet another loves that Folky or Country and Western sound? Still others yearn for more Jazz, Funk, Soul and Blues or how ’bout some Reggae? (Ya Mon!!)

The truth is that there is no wrong answer.

So open your mind and don’t ever turn away from music; instead be curious and wonder what others hear that you don’t and listen……… You may just hear something that you’ve never heard before and oddly enough…….
