INTRODUCING
Patty PerShayla and The Mayhaps
They are originally from West Michigan but have recently migrated to Nashville to network and build their brand. The band consists of Patty Pershayla (Lead singer, song writer, multi instrumentalist). Lucas Powell (Lead Guitar, song writer) and Alec Klinefelter (Drummer Percussionist).
Patty has previously released a solo EP “Oracle Bones” (2019) which won the WYCE “Jammie Award” that same year and “Cheap Diction” (2020) with the Mayhaps. Patty and her Mayhaps were also nominated for two videos from “Angry Hobbit” studios: “The Horror” and “If 6 were 5”. She has done several covers and also works with a Rush cover band called YYNOT. She does an awesome job with lead vocals(does Geddy Lee proud) and has an equally impressive stage presence.
Puff Peace reached out to Patty and the band in mid January when we saw a window of opportunity to invite them into Tempermill Studio in Fabulous Ferndale, Michigan in between a couple of gigs to do a quick set with some video for a Highlighted Band Promo. Well, Patty and “The Band” obliged and showed up to perform what turned out to be a three video song set that we refer to as “The Tempermill Sessions”. Albeit fairly raw, some pretty cool in/studio video footage with some special effects added in. Thanks to Patrick Gallacher’s video capture and some last minute editing by Puff Peace.
The sound is of absolute “Top Quality” thanks to the Engineers at Tempermill Studio (Eric and Dave) and of course, Patty and her Magnificent Mayhaps!! I really can’t say enough about everyone involved considering that it all came together rather abruptly with people who had never worked together previously. Especially Patty, Lucas and Alec. They had just done a show in Toronto the night before and had to drive 4-5 hrs. to meet with us in the studio. They also had a show scheduled in town that evening so only had a couple hour window to make this happen. The minute they arrived, they immediately became acquainted with everyone involved and started working with Eric the engineer for a sound check, mic placement etc.You would think that they had worked together for years.
It was easy for Puff Peace to select Patty and the boys for a Promotional Piece simply based on the quality of their sound, attitude and performance but when we met them and realized what cool people they are, it was just icing on the cake! As part of the promotion, Puff Peace will be giving 50% of all profits from our merchandise sales through midnight April 5th to Patty Pershayla and the Mayhaps so check out our cool merch! We may add to throughout the month so check back from time to time. Then you’re going to want to rush right over to Patty’s site and patronize her and the band directly. I’m sure that they really appreciate all the support they can get so we can look forward to seeing and hearing more from them in the future.
Thanks in advance, and remember “DON’T BE A SCHMIZE. PATRONIZE!!”
